I still fail to see what PC gaming offers me that's better than console gaming. Anyone could tell me to play Modern Warfare 2 or Dragon Age: Origins or even play an MMO like World of Warcraft. Why the hell would I want to? It's probably healthier to play console games, as WoW seems to screw up more people's lives than consoles tend to. Perhaps I'm being a bit ridiculous by saying that. But it's probably true to an extent, as a young child once died of starvation because of neglect from its own parents due to World of Warcraft. That's the most telling info of all.
The funny thing is that all I want to do is play my favourite games from my PS3 on my recently bought PC. Those being Modern Warfare 2, GTA 4 and NBA & Fifa games on it, which I have been doing except the two latter games. And while I have been playing MW2 and GTA and have had some fun on them. GTA 4 still leaves a lot to be desired in terms of just playing it on a recently owned quad core Dell PC with a standard graphics card. Although it most likely boils down to the fact that the game was made poorly on PC and a lot of people have experienced similar problems on computers that aren't really properly built gaming PCs with the best graphics cards available.
MW2 is the only game that I want to play on a console or PC anytime that can even run perfectly on a basic PC. It's pretty sad that that's the case. The only reason it was made that way was just so they could still get as many buys on the PC platform as they could.
As for the sports games I mentioned, that I most likely would have purchased if they had just included 10 vs 10 online play for Fifa 10, which they unfortunately didn't. And NBA 2K10, which does have 5 vs 5 online team play, however the online play that 2K offers always fails to work properly. Therefore, until they at least patch it I won't even consider buying it.
I feel like console gaming will always be way ahead of PC gaming because of these basic factors. If PCs can have these features but they just don't include them in the games, perhaps partly since there aren't enough people who play pc games or because not enough people own gaming PCs. Then why would I even consider playing anything but MW2?
I also hate the kinds of people that play MW2 on PC or any PC game in general, who think they're holier than thou and would openly tell another player to get cancer just because they're getting beaten at the game. Wow, what a bunch of morons!
